Everland Amusement Park

We ventured out to Everland one afternoon. We've had some pretty cool weather this past week; I must say that we almost froze while trying to have a good time! Even though we were freezing, we did get an ice cream before we left the park :)

Jordan & Mama getting ready for some fun on a ride!

Jannah & Daddy doing the victory sign, Koreans do this in every picture. We thought it meant peace, but have recently been informed it stands for victory.

Isn't this beautiful? Everland is having a Flower Festival right now; there were beautiful tulips, azaleas and other flowers all over the park.

Miss Bonnie and Jamison were the main attractions! Most Koreans are fascinated with American children, especially young ones. These young girls are talking to him, giggling, touching his cheeks, and taking his picture. We can just imagine they are saying how adorable and precious he is.

Do you miss Gamma & Gampa?

This was Jamison's response when asked if he missed his grandparents and everyone else back in Georgia! He loves you all and misses you too!

4/9 Market

This was the scene at the Market. It was quit an experience! On every day that ends in 4 and 9, there is an outdoor market selling just about anything you can imagine.........or not! We ventured out and saw some things we recognized, and some things we did not! Ms. Bonnie was amazed at everything, she is getting some Korean culture under her belt :) Umbrellas and people everywhere! As you can see, we do not look like the majority of the people. That in turn provokes many stares, and strangers touching the children. They like to touch the kids face and hair. Jannah and Jordan do okay with it, I think they are used to Koreans touching them and saying things they DO NOT understand!

Hats and hair accessories, we got some cute things for Jannah; but couldn't look long, because Jordan had to go potty. I got a little spastic, because I had no idea where to go. There's not a bathroom in every store like there is in the States. We did make it to an area with no people, and took care of the problem! After going potty, we did some more looking.

Fish, oh the smell of dead fish! Jordan was so excited about all of the fish, he couldn't keep his hands off of them!

This is the yummo fruit. The strawberries are the BEST! We did buy a fruit that was new to us. It was small and yellow on the outside, tasted just like honeydew; I am going to have to find out what it was.

Grandma and Jannah; they had been looking at produce.

Eggs anyone? This is how they are sold. 30 eggs cost 5000 won, which is about $5.

Yes, this is some type of bug! They have been cooked and ready to eat..........no, we did not try any!

Hallelujah!!

I have some of the best news.................we will be moving on base on May 9th!!!!!!!!!!! We have been praying for this, and our awesome God had proved his faithfulness once again to us. We knew that it was in His hands, and we had to trust Him. There was nothing that we could do to make it happen; that's a hard place to be, especially when I like to see things happen. Amazingly, God does great things when His children let go of matters and trust Him. I am thankful for God's mighty power and His unchanging hand.
We went to look at the apartment yesterday, and it is SO NICE! It is on the 3rd floor; a little over 2000 square feet. Has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a big laundry room, kitchen, dining room and living room. We might get lost with all of the room, but we'll get used to it! We can't wait!
"For thou art great and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone" Psalm 86:10

He's Three!

Three years ago we welcomed this sweet little boy into our family, and we have never been the same! Last night, I couldn't help but cry tears of joy as I thought about all the fun and laughter Jordan has brought to us. God has blessed me so greatly, I am overwhelmed with thankfulness and awe. When I think of Jordan, I think of the phrase, "life of the party". He is full of energy, funny comments and silly faces. He likes motorcycles, tractors, airplanes, bugs and frogs, guns, football and baseball, and riding his bike and scooter. I think his favorite color is blue, because in his world, everything is blue. His favorite song is the bible verse "Children obey your parents in the Lord" that has been put to music. Jordan likes going to the park and swimming. Besides rice, his favorite food is breakfast foods. He likes his brother and sister, and I think he loves me and his Daddy too! He is a precious little boy, with a compassionate heart. He has certainly captured ours! Happy Birthday Buddy!

Breakfast at 4:00 a.m.????

After a 27 hour adventure, we are back in Korea. The flight went well, and we made it home with all 12 pieces of luggage and car seats! I have missed our Osan "family". The kids were excited to play with their toys, and see their friends. Even I missed this tiny apartment; my sweet husband had it spotless when we arrived. I apprecite his attentiveness to my OCD about a clean house!!
For the past 2 mornings, the kids have been up between 3 and 4, and of course they want breakfast then too! They are so wide awake; I really think it's a crime to start the day that early and that energetic. If only I could have half of their energy! Maybe we will be back on this time in a week or so, or maybe not, who knows!

Korea Bound!

I have been in the States for about 7 weeks, and have not blogged until now; pitiful, I know. We have had a great time. At any rate, I have so much to post when we get back to Korea and get somewhat settled. We leave on Friday, the 4th and get back late Saturday. Greg's Mom will be joining us for a few weeks, I can't wait for her to see Korea! I guess I should head to bed, it's getting late. Keep us in your prayers as we travel.
