Recently...

Jannah and Jordan had the bright idea of pretending that Jamison was their baby. They "found him and named him baby Sam." Jamison let them keep him in the special basket, aka the laundry basket, for a good little while; he even made baby sounds and let us dote on him...it was entertaining and sweet!

Jannah cheered for the first time at an UPWARD basketball game. What a neat program to participate in. She learns bible verses and is encouraged to do the right thing while they learn life lessons and biblical principles. She really had fun and said her favorite part was doing the cheer in the middle of the court during halftime!

All three kids took an ~almost, overflowing bubble bath in the jacuzzi~

Jamison has found another use for his race car track...a ball track!

Compassion (in a kid's heart)

My children have made me so proud; not in a prideful way, but proud in that they are learning a very important trait: to be compassionate, like Jesus. I'm thankful and in awe of how they are learning and applying what we have taught them. You see, the earthquake in Haiti is the first natural disaster they are old enough to understand, and really, they don't understand it on level that we as adults do. But, here's what they know: they've seen some images on tv, they know people are in pain, and are sad, many have died and others have been left with absolutely nothing. They also know that Daddy has been working long, busy days helping with the disaster in Haiti; which leads to more interest in it. Jannah & Jordan have been moved by this; they're hearts have become involved! Jannah came home last week and told me that her school was collecting money for Haiti, they wanted to raise enough money for a water well. She was very matter of fact, and said "what ever is in my allowance jar, I want to give to Haiti." The very next day, she did just that. Jordan who has had a difficult time sharing what money he has also declared to me, "I would give all my money to Haiti." I love seeing God work in their little hearts and minds. Just this morning Jannah showed me her prayer journal, and she had written a prayer for Haiti. I know it's horrible over there and I know that country has a lot to do to be at a functioning level again; I also know that our military is providing much aid, which makes me proud all over again to be an AF wife; more importantly, I KNOW my J and J are learning something very important: the likeness of Christ.
"Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others." Philippians 2:3,4
"Be kind and compassionate toward one another." Ephesians 4:32

Psalm 118:24

Imagine my surprise when I opened this carton of eggs?! Jannah and I were baking something back around Christmas and I just couldn't believe my eyes: a bible verse on the inside! She thought is was cool (probably due to my disbelief and excitement); she too wanted to be sure that we got a picture of it. So, I encourage you my friends, "This is the day that the Lord has made, let's rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24
***Since I was doing so much baking, and had so many different grocery store trips, I'm not exactly sure where the eggs came from; I think they came from my most favorite grocery store: Aldi. I'm planning a future post on Aldi, it's very unique and it has found a spot in both my heart and wallet!***

Forever Friends

These ladies are my forever friends. The crazy thing is that we're all related, and it may seem odd, but they are just so special to me. Even though I did not get the memo on wearing beige, I still love them...just kidding about the memo! The sweet lady on the left is my aunt Melinda, next is my sister, Lori, then me (in the magenta shirt, not beige), and then my mama; Mama and Melinda are sisters. When we were in GA, Greg and my Daddy watched all the kids while we went out; we had the best time, I'm already looking forward to our next night out (in 6 months, since I live kinda far away from them). Even when Lori and I were young, we all did stuff together; like shop, go to the beach, just hang out. So, as adults, it's only natural for us to be together. I feel like they know me at my best and my worst, and they still love me. We laugh and cry together; we share our hearts and dreams and concerns. We pray for each other. We talk by phone, alot; we can pick up right where we left off, always. These ladies are what I call, "my girls." What they don't know is that I feel like I'm the most blessed one!

Gaylord @ Opryland

One of the many sights to behold at the Gaylord...We decided to stay there and have some family fun as we headed down to GA for Christmas. It was so pretty and there were so many Christmas decorations (I'm a sucker for those), as you know. We had fun, my only complaint was the massive crowds of people that were there...seriously, couldn't we just have it all to ourselves? We went to the Opryland Mills for a little shopping and dined at the Rainforest Cafe, of course we had fun at the Bass Pro Shop there too! We went to the Charlie Brown Ice Sculptures, pretty cool...literally! It was 0 degrees in there, we all had on parkas to *help* keep us warm; we still froze! We enjoyed a train ride in the resort, walking around and admiring the decorations, a fountain show that was accompanied by the narration of Jesus' birth...that was really neat! One of my favorite parts...we ate out and I cooked/cleaned nothing! Is it sad when that's my fav part of a vacation/trip? I think not!

How about these necklaces? They were the must-haves...

One of the many, gorgeous tress. I would not like to be the one to decorate/undecorate this place!
