Cowboy CUTE

Not so long ago, my sweet Jordan was nothing short of totally uncooperative for picture time! If and when I had a good picture of him, it was because he was bribed or threatened :) I know that makes me a horrible mother, but that's how I handled his disdain for the camera...Now, he seems to have finally come around to at least *liking* photo shoots (meaning, me taking his picture) a little better.

I have shown my true colors (ugliness and lack of self control over way TOO many pictures). I just wish my kids understood how much I love taking their picture and how passionate I am about the legacy and story we leave behind in photos.

What I really wanted to highlight is how cute Jordy looks here and I have to say that he was more than obliged to take these pictures. He was so proud of his real cowboy hat!

Please know that his little brother was also given a cowboy hat at Christmas and he too, was really excited. BUT, he is now the one that is totally uncooperative for the camera!!! Maybe in about 2-4 years, I will have that kink worked out! In the meantime, my nephew, Drake, was happy to stand by Jordan!

A quilt times 2!!

My Mama is so full of love and sweetness!
Do you hear me?!?!

For Christmas, my sister and I had one present under the tree. The same size box, each adorned with some tulle and a fresh cotton boll; and that got me to thinking! What could it be?!?!

Mama always has projects she's working on: clothes for the kiddos, quilts, table-runners, scarves (to name a few)...I always say that these things are "made with love." 11 years ago, she and I picked out some fabric so that she could make a quilt for me, we decided on a blue and white collection. A couple of years ago, my sister picked out some black and white fabric. All this to say, I knew that Mama had been working on the quilts, very diligently over the last year. She had been on a couple of retreats, where she did nothing but quilt! The more I thought about it, the more excited I got when it was time to open presents, I just knew it had to be our quilts!

Thank you, MAMA!!! I know these were made with lots and lots of LOVE!!!
PS, this is one of my most favorite adult Christmas presents...just sayin!

We are Air force Proud!!!

I am linking up to Kelly's Korner; she's highlighting military families on her blog, and well, we are just that!!

A little bit about us:
My husband has been in the Air Force for over 20 years!!! I have been with him on this adventure for 12 1/2! We met at Moody AFB in Valdosta, GA-my hometown. When we married, I was (and still am) head over heels for Greg! Good thing I love him so, I think that's what has made this AF thing so much fun! We try to look at being in the AF as an adventure, we try to make the best of every move we make, and we do our best to make our house a home...no matter where we are!

We have lived in:
Spokane, Washington (Fairchild AFB)
Tallahassee, Florida (ROTC Instructor @ Florida State)
Cabot, Arkansas (Little Rock AFB)
Osan, South Korea (Osan Air Base)
O'Fallon, Illinois (Scott AFB)

We have loved each of our assignments, for very different reasons. The friends we've made have been incredible and I love that we still keep up with them years later. It's also fun to be stationed with someone a second time, that's when you start to realize it's a "small military world!" Being in the military has also given us opportunities to travel and see many different places. We usually have a "bucket list" for the area we live in, so that we can see and do all there is to offer in that particular state :)

We love you Greg and we are so proud to be supporting you as you serve our country!!!

Chirstmas in GA

We headed to GA after Christmas; we were all very excited to see our family! Here are a few of our favorite moments while there :)

We went to the Warner Robins Air Museum; what a cool place to visit, we will go back!

Had to eat at Firehouse Subs, Greg's all-time fave!

Jordan & Hunter

Jannah & Slylar making buttermilk biscuit with Grandma!

We left Grandma's house and headed to Gamma and Gampa's house. So thankful our families aren't too far from each other, makes it easy on us when we go to visit :)

No better way to go to bed than story time with Gampa!

This picture deserves a post of it's own, and it will get that! You will have to come back for the rest of the story...
the annual moose t-shirt picture :)
We love our families and we love the good times we had in GA!!!!
