Jordan, oh, my sweet Jordan. I just never know when a sweet and tender side of Jordan might show up. When it does, be ready to have your heart touched. Today, after being out all morning, we came home and had a little while to play outside before nap time. My children think the 4 empty lots across the street from our house is their play area; we always go right over there for who knows what kind of adventure! Right now the lots are full of weeds, dandelions and this flower (see below). Jordan picked one and gave it to me, he was proud of the one he picked. I hugged him, BIG and said that I would have to put it in a vase inside. Then I told him maybe we could cut some more and he quickly got an idea...He wanted to cut them. So, he and I cut flowers for a good little while; I had a little handful once we got finished. He told me it was my "mom's day present". That was just precious to me. I told him my heart was happy and he said it was because he gave me such a good present. Mostly, I just loved following him around the field, holding and gathering all of the flowers he was cutting for me. My favorite part was the pride he took in his own actions, he was so pleased with himself for doing something that was touching someone else's heart...thank you Jesus for this MOMent!!!
This is exactly where Jordan wanted these flowers to go; I agreed that it was a perfect spot!
