Pinkalicious in Spokane!

I went to Spokane, Washington see my sweetheart of a friend, Michele. I went there, and I went there by myself for s-i-x days! Yes, 6 days...all alone! It was fantastic! We shared some great times. We ate out at some awesome places, shopped, crafted, played games, had a movie night. We just had a blast!

Michele has a "pink room" for her guest room. It is a beautiful, shabby-chic room that is just delightful! I love to stay in there and I love to look at all of the goodies she has in that room! One day, I think I will need a "pink room!"

Don't you love this room, too?!
Lauren and I at the Rusty Moose
A little Bananagrams...now, that's a fun game :)
Michele and I at Chaps. This has to be one of the best, mot unique restaurants ever. I mean that! The food is delicious and the decor is so...I don't have a good word for it; I just know I love it!

Michele...I just love you!
Some more crafting...
I found an old Spirograph at the Goodwill! I was wanting one of these, because I have told my kids about how much I loved the one I had as a kid. I paid a whole dollar for it...that's a deal!
I made one of Lauren's favorite desserts, Taffy Apple Pizza!
We crafted some more...made banners. That might just be my new favorite thing to do :)
Natalie, Lauren and myself...they have grown up so much since we first met...over 10 years ago!
Thank you Michele, for such a SWEET visit!

DC fun!

We all took a little field trip to Washington DC, and it was so much fun! Greg had a TDY there and we decided it might be fun to make it a family event :)

Can I just say that I love to travel and see new places?! I suppose that's a good thing, since we get to move around a bit with the AF!

We drove there, which might have been the most difficult part of the trip. This made our fourth big road trip in 7 months; this trip totaled 2200 miles...but, who's counting?!!!

Anywaysssss....We stayed with our friends Steve and Kelly for some of the trip (had a blast, just like our old times in Korea with them). We also stayed on base at Quantico-a marine core base in Virginia, and then we wrapped up our trip with a couple of nights in downtown DC, near the Pentagon; Greg had meetings at Quantico and at the Pentagon.

We got to see and do much; I had never been to the area, so I was lovin' every minute of it! The energy of DC sits well with me...for a few minutes I thought I might want to live there...but then the traffic kinda got on my nerves!

Speaking of living there, we are anxiously awaiting on "the list" to come out. Another words, we are waiting to find out where the possibilities are for us to move...hurry up already with that!

Back to DC...One of the things that I have no pictures of, but was a high-light of the trip was a mini-Osan reunion. There are a bunch of gals that live in the DC area that I was stationed with at Osan AB in Korea. We all met up for dinner and had such a wonderful time! We visited for 6 hours...time just flew by. I love all of the friends that I have made through the years thanks to the AF!

A little bit of bed-time reading with Daddy! I so love this candid shot, all three of them are ready for bed and giving Greg every ounce of their attention.

My kiddos thought the pay phones were the coolest thing ever. It occurred to me that the reason they were so fascinated with them is because they have hardly ever seen them!

We ended our visit in DC with a treat from Georgetown Cupcakes :) A sweet treat and a sweet "field trip"!

Grand Slam Vacay Part 1

Well, well, well! It has been a month since I last blogged and I have so much fun stuff to share with yall!

So, Greg was in Norfolk, Virgina for 10 weeks, going to school...an Air Force course, of course! He flew back here over the Memorial Day weekend, so that we could all drive back to VA, and stay with him the last few weeks of his class. We were able to get a furnished apartment on base and I figured we could find some fun while he was in school...I had no idea we would find as much FUN as we did :)

After the 890 mile trip, we passed a Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, which was only about 45 minutes from our final destination. I said, "why not?!" Greg agreed and that was the beginning of our fun! The kids had fun and so did we, it was a nice way to end 890 miles! The best part might have been the fire alarms at 3:00 a.m. and the evacuation, just kidding!

After arriving in Norfolk, Greg went to school and we (me and the kids) played! Greg would come home around 3:00 and we would all play then! It was really a nice break for all of us, and good family time. Here are some of the things we did:

This was a little Korea reunion...one of the great things about the military! Laura (in the middle) was in the area house hunting and Amanda (on the right) had joined her husband at the same course G was at. So we got together at none other than, Chuck E Cheese, because we all love that place so much...actually, we knew we could catch up and the kids could play! I have to give a shout out to Facebook...that's the way we knew about each other being in the area!!
Amanda's boys, my three and one of Laura's three children. Why, oh why are group shots so difficult?!
We were 10 minutes from Oceanview Beach...you know I went there, every day! The water is calm and the waves are like ripples, the kids has so much fun and were able to play in the water without being knocked down, so relaxing and peaceful...I miss it!

While Daddy was at school, he was also enjoying some time on the golf course. Once we got there, he spent time teaching the kiddos some skillz and they now have their own clubs :)

We went to Busch Gardens and had a fun day; we stayed until the park closed!!

Jordan begged for a glow sword, which he was so thrilled to get and Jannah got a light-up pacifier...what a perfect ending to a perfect day!
Oh my! The best Mediterranean/Greek food ever!! Greg and I had a date (thanks to Amanda and then we returned the favor to her and her hubby). We went to Azars, sat on the patio, soaked up some alone time and ate a delicious meal.

My cousin, who is a young 21 is stationed at Norfolk Naval Station. They came over for lunch one day and we hung out. Jannah just loved her little boy, Caleb.

Amanda was my beach buddy. We went several days and we had so much fun, the kids enjoyed each other and played so well together...so glad we were able to spend some time together...miss ya, girl!
Jamison, Parker, Trevor, Jordan and Jannah; from youngest to oldest. Jamison and Parker were babies (like 6 weeks old) when we met in Korea. Man, time is flying!
Stay tuned, I have LOTS more to post, and I will be back before a month!
