Chirstmas in GA

We headed to GA after Christmas; we were all very excited to see our family! Here are a few of our favorite moments while there :)

We went to the Warner Robins Air Museum; what a cool place to visit, we will go back!

Had to eat at Firehouse Subs, Greg's all-time fave!

Jordan & Hunter

Jannah & Slylar making buttermilk biscuit with Grandma!

We left Grandma's house and headed to Gamma and Gampa's house. So thankful our families aren't too far from each other, makes it easy on us when we go to visit :)

No better way to go to bed than story time with Gampa!

This picture deserves a post of it's own, and it will get that! You will have to come back for the rest of the story...

We love our families and we love the good times we had in GA!!!!

Jordan on his new scooter...he didn't wish for this...but was super excited to receive it!

Christmas This & That

The 3 J's with Santa...his beard totally looks like cotton balls, don't ya think?!

Each year, I pick out ornaments for everyone and they all love to get their yearly ornaments :) This year, I just have not had time to get them, nor have I been alone to do it! Homeschooling kinda changes that :) So, we drew names and all went ornament shopping. It was fun and everyone made their choice pretty quickly.

Greg was given an Illinois football from Jordan
Jordan was given a cowboy boot from Jannah
Jamison was given a basketball from Greg
Jannah was given a piano from me
I was given an angel from Jamiosn

Jannah and I made little santa ornaments, an idea from Pinterest...I heart that website!

The boys think their new gloves are for boxing...silly boys!

Some more ornament-makin'-fun!
Lovin' all these memories and the fun we are having :)

It's looking ALOT like CHRISTmas!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I love this time of year! I say that every year, and I think I mean it more as the years go by. For me, Christmas represents hope, faith, love, life...all from Christ!

I love to decorate and I would leave my trees up all year if I could...maybe one day...

I just wanted to share our home with you. I love to come home and turn all the lights on, I love to stay at home and look around. I feel like a kid in a candy shop; so many of my decorations have a "story" or special meaning behind them...they all make me so happy!

This is our family tree, full of love and every ornament has a story! Some are old, some are new, some are store bought, some are home-made. The kids had a blast this year as they decorated this tree. They are old enough to remember their yearly ornaments and they tore into the storage bins to find their own little collection of ornaments, I loved every moment of it!

Our mantle is so beautifully decorated with our stockings, my mama made these for us! She has made them along and along as our family has grown, this is the first year we all have them! I love them and I can't wait to see what Santa might put in them this year :)

I made this banner when I went out to see my friend, Michele. We had so much fun making them and we both think they are a must have for every season/holiday/celebration...whatever the occasion might be. If you want to see some incredible Christmas decorations, check out her blog... you can click HERE. She has inspired the vintage in me :)

Jamison loved, loved, loved putting up the villages this year. He was more excited than I was, (I think) and I was pretty excited!

Don't you like where he arranged the people?! I left them there, why not?!

These are my first purchases in the vintage/antique Christmas department. I have always loved antique furniture; my daddy has given me some beautiful pieces throughout the years that he has restored and I treasure each of them. Recently, I have discovered that I'm drawn to antique/vintage things, especially Christmas ornaments!!!

I found this box at an antique mall, the original price tag was on there, they were purchased at Grandpa's for 69 cents! I found out that Grandpa's was a local store that's long gone...these little snippets of info are what has me hooked on the old stuff!

Here is my pink tree! It's actually white with my favorite colors on it: pink, turquoise, lime green and purple~This just makes a girl happy!

Mama made this for me; one day, it will be vintage! It was one of my very first Christmas decorations, so it will always be special!

These are a new decoration; Michele and I made these...the smell of bleach and glitter spray paint is quite a combo :)

This is a new decoration to us, but old at the same time. Greg's mama gave this to us last year, she had held onto it from his childhood. She thinks he made it when he was 7ish years old. It's made out of a brown paper bag and he colored and cut the different pieces out; so fun to have this! I. LOVE. IT!!!

A mix of old and new ornaments

Daddy made this sign for us last year...graces our downstairs. It's on the laundry-room door, makes me cheery even when I have to go in there to "work"!

I decided to hang the cards we receive along the banister, we (the kids and I) glittered clothespins to hang them with...that was a fun project!

Upstairs in our family room, we have our red and white tree. It's full of ornaments from the family tree; I had an extra tree and realized a couple of years ago that we had a lot of red and white ornaments, so we now hang them on a tree of their own :)

Merry Christmas!!! I hope you enjoyed the Bailey Christmas Tour, 2011!
