What's this?

What's this? Who did this? How did this happen? These are a few of he questions I ask myself...daily! Here are a few caught on camera!!!

This is a tea party, in pj's! Jannah has had this mini tea set for a few years now, and it's still a favorite past time for all of them to pull it out and have fun. I think they did this for a good 30 minutes!

Jamison kinda likes the scissors...he actually kinda scares me with his like of them; I don't want him to have them, unless he is under strict supervision. I think he would go crazy and cut all kinds of things!

This is Jordan's newest trick. Do your children or do any of you adults climb up your door, by way of the door frame? I'm just wondering?

This would be Jamison's work. He apparently ate some of this apple and decided he would finish it later. I had no idea he even had some of it, until a day or so later...gross!

Do we look pretty, or what? Jannah put her make up on me and then I put some on her...we had no where to go for the afternoon, which made this ok!

This is a really good thing! Jannah received a certificate for being on the A honor roll all year long. I am so PROUD of her!!!

3. Crazy. Kids.

When my boys grow up, they will NOT appreciate these pictures! Recently, the kids informed us they were going to put on a show; they said it was a hip hop show. Really? I thought. And just how do you know what hip hop is? Jamison called it "pip pop." At any rate, G and I got ready for the show, he had the video camera, I had the digital...we are such proud and doting parents. And let me just tell you, indeed, it was a show. They danced and rolled and jumped and posed to some of Jannah's music; it was a CD with bible verses put to song...great music for hip hop! They were funny and totally out of breath once the performance was over. Enjoy these pictures, because later, my boys will be way less than thrilled with me!
PS: they picked out their own attire for the show, in case you were wondering!
Yes, these are the great days of my life.

Temptation: In the Eyes of a 2 Year Old

I've been busy trying to get the house decorated and fixed up. That's always fun and stressful about moving to a new place. While I was out the other day, I found this tray and decided to accent it with balls. It didn't take long at all after putting the tray out that I realized I had made a big mistake! Jamison was thrilled to see them and he was even more thrilled that his mama bought him some little "footballs". That's what he calls the little walnuts! I tried to convince him that they aren't footballs, but it's useless. He's sure they are. I keep telling him they are Mama's balls and that he can't play with them. He just stares at me. I wonder what goes through his little mind? What I don't have to wonder about is this: what is temptation to a 2 year old? Because I know what it is, it's Mama's balls!

Jamison and Mama's balls

He told me over and over and over, "footballs, Mama." He was probably wondering when I was going to get it!

Since When?

Since when did Jordan come to this conclusion? Today, I was kissing him, on the cheek.
This little conversation followed the kisses:
J- Mama, that's bad
Me- what's bad?
J- when a girl kisses a boy
Me- not at all, I'm your Mama, and Mamas kiss their boys
J-(still giggling) it is bad
Me- where did you get that from?
J- no where, it just is
So, what did I do about it? I just kept kissing him! I love nothing more than kissing my babies on their cheeks, I'm sure that receiving kisses is part of the cheek's functions.
This has nothing to do with Jordan's realization that kisses are bad. I realize most of you will think his hat looks a little silly, perhaps different than the normal winter hat. But I must say that every kid in Korea has a hat with an animal on top of it...it's the style around here. They keep their heads super warm, and they have grown on me to the point that I think they are just downright adorable!

Talking Tuesday

Here's a recent conversation between Jordan and myself:

Jordan-Mama, when is it gonna be winter?
Me- This is winter. Then a brief explanation of each season
Jordan-When is it gonna be summer?
Me-not for a while, winter is just settling in
Jordan-I don't like winter
Me-why?
Jordan-Because you have to wear your big jacket everywhere, in the car, all the time. I don't like that.
Me-It's best to, or you might freeze.
Jordan-I still don't like it

I should add that we do a lot of walking on base. It's just easier to walk, rather than load everyone and the stroller in the car to only drive 3-5 minutes. Jordan is the one that I have to beg, plead, and sometimes discipline to get his jacket on...every morning as we walk Jannah to school!! He does indeed, dislike the cold weather. I think he really belongs in Florida! Maybe I'll send him to live with his Aunt Lori and Uncle Derek or Uncle Jon and Aunt Kathy for the winter? What do yall think?!? We went to get donuts at our little shop here on base the other morning, it was all of 9 degrees outside. Even though donuts are the kids' favorite treat, Jordan was less than thrilled about walking 5 minutes to get his favorite chocolate covered, rainbow sprinkle donut! That means he really is going to have a rough winter...pray for him...and me!!

Do you catch your bless yous?

A few weeks ago, I sneezed; I covered my mouth, which I always do. Jordan, in all of his three year old innocence says to me, "Mama, how do you always catch your bless yous?" I just laughed, and hugged him, and kissed him, and told him how funny and adorable he is; it was one of those melt your heart moments. Well, today Jordan sneezed. He covered his mouth, and then said, "I caught my bless you." Just like that, he caught one. So, do you catch your bless yous?

Whats Funny To Me

So, I was thinking tonight, and realized there were a few funny occurrences over the last couple of days.
-While driving to another base on Sunday, we passed lots of rice fields. Greg told the kids to look at the rice patties. Jordan says, "Daddy, those aren't rice patios!" We both just laughed; one day when he's 20 or maybe 30, he'll realize we do know some things.
-Not sure how Jannah managed this one; she came to me whining, and said, "I stepped on my toe." I think she was a little tired, which must have contributed to the ability to step on her own toe!
-Jamison is crawling. I realize now that I'm a little busier, just trying to keep up with him, and keep him out of the wrong places. He crawls all over, and will crawl to where-ever I am. But, when I put him in his room to play, he will only crawl to the doorway. He sits there as if there's something there stopping him. He just sits, and whimpers until I come his way, then he gets beside himself with excitement that I'm gonna pick him up :) I always do...I couldn't let him down!
