82 degrees

FINALLY...we were able to play outside all weekend. And I do mean, ALL WEEKEND!!! It was so needed. Everyone has been tired of being cooped up in the house, especially Mama - the cold has just about gotten the best of me! We had a wonderful, low-key weekend, with no time limitations to do anything...it was grrreat! The kids have played ball, jumped on the trampoline, played in the sand box, rode the 4-wheeler, gator, bikes and scooters, played with friends, roller-bladed. They have done it ALL!

Did I mention that we fired the grill up today for the first time in too long?!?! That has to be one of my favorite things to do in the summer..yay!

I love this time of the year; I don't love the yoyo weather! It snowed 6 days ago, and today I got to wear my flip flops...crazy huh? But, I'll take it! We're all looking forward to more of these kinds of weekends :)

Snow, Snow and more SNOW!!

It seems as though we are having a LOT of snow! It's fun and pretty and the kids love when they don't have school because of it (they don't realize we might not ever get out for summer break if we keep taking snow days). Anyways, we have played in it and I have shoveled it off of the driveway (it only took me about 1 hour and 45 minutes), we have tracked it all in the car and house, and we have enjoyed watching it pile up in the yard. But, until Sunday, we had not been sledding. I must say that's our favorite thing to do in the snow! We all had fun; the pictures really don't do it any justice. If you are looking for a good time, grab an inner tube, find some snow and a hill...let your worries fade away as you race down and squeal like a 5 year old!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Jannah and Greg enjoyed a fancy and fun-filled night! They went to the Daddy-Daughter Dance in O'Fallon last Friday. She was so excited about it! She and I went shopping for a new dress, she picked this one out all by herself; she has an eye for exactly what she wants! Daddy was all dressed up and after my own little photo shoot, they were off (in the snow and freezin' cold weather). I'm told by both that they had a blast! They ate dinner, had pictures taken, hung out with friends, and danced until the late hour of 9:00. Jannah was excited that she had 2 full glasses of fruit punch (I love what kids get excited about)! We all need to step back and enjoy the "small indulgences!"
