Where's Jannah?

Where is she?

She's somewhere in the midst of these 2nd graders! Look in the middle, scan to the left a few kiddos and boom! There she is, in turquoise, on the top row! The second grade program was really cute tonight. They have been working on it for several months now and their work paid off. Jannah even sang a song that I sang in my elementary music class, with Mr. Smith...La Cucaracha!

Jannah had a line in the program...she did perfect!
Jannah and her music teacher, Mrs. B
Jannah with her friend, C.
My girl made her Mama *proud* tonight and she also made a tear roll down her cheek...

Projects...everywhere!

Jannah had her first project: she had to make a house out of natural resources, the house could be located anywhere around the world. Jannah was sure from the get-go that she wanted to make an igloo. After a couple hours of work...what do we have? An igloo, that got a score of 100 % (she had to do a short presentation, too); we were so proud of her!

These pictures are just because she looked so cotton-pickin' cute! Thanks to me sweet friend, Michele for this darlin' outfit!

Jamison making a little somethin' out of moon sand; that stuff is pretty cool! It was a birthday present from one of his friends.

Jamison and his buddy, Catie Beth (or Catie Bef, as he calls her)

Jordan posing for his football picture, I tried to capture the shot...just not quite as good from the side!

Jordan had to decorate this pumpkin. Boy, did he have fun! He is a little creative and likes to paint and glue and all that stuff...do you see all of the materials (6 different ones) on here?

This kiddo loves puzzles...A LOT! He put this 100 piece together by himself; well, I did do about 6 pieces! He is good at them. We have decided to have some of his favorite ones framed and hang them in his room; I would say that puzzles are a passion for him- I think he gets that from his Grandma (Greg's mama).

That's all for now...Have a wonderful weekend :)

the BIG, First Day

I'm not sure I can believe it, the big day has come and gone! Jordan started kindergarten and Jannah is in second grade. My kiddos are growing up too fast, but we are in such exciting times. Jannah has been ready for school to start, Jordan has had mixed emotions. I love the two polar opposite personalities they have, not to mention one is a boy and one is a girl! Jannah was thrilled to go back to school shopping; she was super thrilled to pick out her new outfit. Jordan had fun shopping for supplies, but told me it really didn't matter what he wore on the first day of school! It was so funny :) Although he does think his new tennis shoes are very cool and help him to run fast :) I was excited for them to start school, so I didn't shed a tear; not excited to get rid of them, just excited for them and this stage of life.

We had a fun summer; it was a good mix of lazy days, pool days, days with friends, and outings! BUT, all good things do come to an end and we can't always play and sleep in...My desire for them is that they would learn much and develop good friendships. I am praying for them, their classmates and their teachers...DAILY!
