Jammin' Out
When we lived in Spokane, WA, a lady at our church named Judy took me under her wing and taught me how to make jam. We went to one of her friends house, picked the berries and made the jam! If you have ever had the home made stuff, you know that it beats the store bought stuff, hands-down! I have made jam through the years, but not in the last few. I was eager to make some, and after having some tonight...I'm so glad I did, and so were the kiddos :)
It's only good when the fruit is picked off the vine; and thanks to my pickers, we had enough to make two batches!
Getting everything prepped
This is how the fruit looks when it's cooking, it smells soooo good
And here's me...at midnight holding one of my beauties :)
Oh yes...I am proud of these!
Would you like one? Leave a comment and you might just win one... there will be a random drawing!!!

Pickin' and Grinin'
We headed out to Eckerts for a little strawberry pickin on Saturday. The kids were all very excited and eager to pick...there was one J who out picked the others...any guesses??
I think Jamison might need to go to the bathroom and Jannah is doing a little sampling...they said we could and we did!
Jordi was the big picker; he had so much fun! He liked the challenge of trying to find "a beauty" of a strawberry.
Jamsion did a lot of sampling and asking if the one in his hand was "a booty (beauty)"
Good teamwork...now to eat them and make strawberry jam :)
My pickers are tired and so is their mama!
What did everyone need after their hard work? Some custard, of course!
Friends, Fun and Finds
Here's to Jordan and his baseball team...the Tornadoes!
I was horrible at taking pictures, but it's only because I was having so much fun with the girls! Jannah had her two besties over for a birthday sleepover; we did so many fun things, it was a blast! They are the three amigos, and I am so glad Jannah has these special girls in her life!
Jamison just completed his semester of gymnastics at the Little Gym...he really is a little monkey!

This is my find: a new bike for Jannah that I spotted at a yard sale in the neighborhood! I was so excited to get it at such a good price and she was excited to have a big bike!
Jamsion and Reagan at the zoo...fun times!

Baseball and Birthdays
Jordan is playing baseball! This is his first year to play, he's playing machine pitch and he's learning the game. We have had so much rain that it seems as though half of the practices and games have been cancelled (much to his dismay). Life seems so busy right now with all three J's activities, but I love it that way. I love seeing them try new activities and develop skills as they make friends and learn to be a part of a team. There's a lot to be learned!
You can not tell me that he's not the CUTEST little ball player?!?

Jordan had a delayed birthday party...but I think the "funness" might have made up for the delay! He invited three of his buddies over for a sleepover. They had a blast, and I did, too. What they did: ate a supper that consisted of Jordan's favorite foods, jumped on the trampoline, busted up a pinata, made ice cream sundaes, played nerf wars, played balloon games, they each had a lego kit to put together, watched a movie; last, but not least, they closed their eyes around 11:45...which may have been a few minutes after I closed mine :)

sugar-chicks?
Nice title, huh?
Do you see these donuts? They are the. best. EVER!!! When I was a kid, there wasn't a Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts or Daylight Donuts in Valdosta. Nope. There was something even better, DIXIE CREME! Now, G thinks I am wrong about this; but, I'm not: These donuts are the best in the world. Yes, I always feel like I have had waaaay too much sugar after eating about 4 of them (not kidding), but it's worth it.
Gampa's tradition is donuts for breakfast when we visit. The kids have been able to say donuts for about as long as they have been able to talk, I'm serious! He used to get each of them a bag of donut holes, but they have pretty much graduated to eating the big ones. The best part is cleaning up after them once they have all eaten a sprinkle donut...haha! Actually, the best part is eating that last bite that they left behind :)
This is Jordan with his teacher, Ms. S and one of the chicks that is in his classroom. He has been so excited to go to school to see these cute chicks. I love all of the details he comes home with in regards to the chick. He is paying very close attention to them and what they do and how many are close to hatching. Ms. S has about 20 in an incubator and so far, three have hatched. Jordan thinks they are the so cute and was so excited for me to go see them and hold one. I have to admit, they are cute and sweet. I am thinking about getting a few...not really!

Mother's Day thoughts
Greg and I are very blessed to have mamas who love us dearly; I do not take that for granted. Nor, do I take for granted that they are active in our lives and in the lives of our children. The love, comfort and support that comes from a mama is like no other. Thank you Mama and Ms. Bonnie for the blessing you are in our lives.
"Her children rise up and bless her." Proverbs 31:28
Thank you to my one and only for the tulips (my favorite), they are beautiful and they make me smile! My smile might be a little bigger if you were with me :(
My children. My. Precious. Children.
I told them tonight that I had prayed for them waaaay before they were born and that I only ever wanted one thing...I wanted to be a mama. God has heard my prayers and has blessed me tenfold. I love each of them dearly and my prayer is that I am pointing their little hearts to Jesus...that's really all I want for them.
Jannah made an acrostic with the word mother
Jordan made a bookmark and a sweet "mom" card
Jamison picked these "flowers" for me
~Each one of my J's touched my heart today and made me smile...
Happy Mother's Day to YOU!!!

Where's Jannah?
Where is she?
She's somewhere in the midst of these 2nd graders! Look in the middle, scan to the left a few kiddos and boom! There she is, in turquoise, on the top row! The second grade program was really cute tonight. They have been working on it for several months now and their work paid off. Jannah even sang a song that I sang in my elementary music class, with Mr. Smith...La Cucaracha!
Jannah had a line in the program...she did perfect!

Jannah with her friend, C.
My girl made her Mama *proud* tonight and she also made a tear roll down her cheek...
