Park Play

This is the playground at our new apartment. (Speaking of the new apartment, there will be pictures and maybe a video in a week or so; we're still getting settled). The kids really like the play area; at any given time of the day, there is always someone out here to play with! Just one week shy of turning 5 years old, Jannah has conquered what every child longs to do...............cross the monkey bars with no help! Although she doesn't show it in the video, she is very proud of herself :)

Bible Study

This morning I was reading my bible in the bed when Jordan woke up. He came into our room, climbed on our bed and asked me why I had my bible. I told him I was having some quiet time, a little bible study. Later this morning, I found him on the couch, looking at one of his devotional books. I asked him what he was doing, and he said, "I'm having a little bible study." How precious, and how great a reminder that our actions speak so loud. He sat like this for a few minutes, just looking at the devotional book. It may be hard to tell, but the book is upside down, that is just like my Jordan!

Corn, anyone?

Jamison's really a big boy now, he's eating corn! Not really, he helped himself to Jannah's pretend play food! It was so funny, and I'm sure he thought it was real, because he was chewing it intensely; maybe that's because he is teething. His first tooth has just cut through, on the bottom and the second one is soon to follow. His new tricks include bouncing while sitting down and eating small bits of banana off of our fingers..............he's a pro at that!

Jamison-7 months

Happy Boy

Yummy shoes :)

Wow, I'm not sure where the time is going; Jamison is now 7 months old and is changing with each passing day. He is an absolute doll, and so full of smiles and happy faces. He is sitting up now, and just has so much fun playing with his toys. He is eating all kinds of food, he likes all of the baby food, except green beans! He really wants to try what we eat, he does his best to grab our food when we are holding him at our mealtime. He likes his passy, I love to watch him find it and put it in his mouth. He's a side sleeper, and does have a favorite blanket, it's a crocheted blanket made by my friend Kristy. I think he is saying "hey" to us; he says something that sounds like hey when we talk to him, or when he first sees us............so I think it's his first word! His newest trick is taking his shoe off and chewing on it; still waiting on that first tooth. He is our little angel!

Jamison looks like such a big boy playing in his bed. I have a picture of Jannah around the same age in her diaper, playing in the bed................they look a lot alike!

Brothers

I just love this picture of my boys! It is a rare day when Jordan smiles for a picture, but I got one today :) The fact was, he was happy to be holding his brother, hence the smile! He does love Jamison; he says very often, "Jamison is my best, best brother." I pray they will be close buds throughout life. What it does to my heart when all of my children interact is indescribable. Just yesterday, Jordan was feeding Jamison a bite of bananas, of course Jamison was wanting it quicker than Jordan could feed it to him, and he was getting fussy. Jordan says to him as he is trying to get a spoon full, "It's coming baby." How sweet! He must have heard me say that a time or two. Oh how kids repeat the things we say, so we better be saying the right thing!

Before I was a Mom

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on, pooped on, chewed on, peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests, or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much.
Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know there was such a strong bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom, I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

My friend Amy emailed this to me, I thought it was fitting, and what do you know, it expresses my thoughts pretty good. I am so thankful for my children, and have such wonderful memories of each one as I read this little poem. Happy Mother's Day to all of you Mama's!

Happy Birthday Mama

Happy Birthday Mama! I love you and I am so thankful for you!

Birthday Girl!

Everyone's favorite part, opening presents!

The girls eating their supper...........in their pajamas! They put their pj's on before the party even got started, they were so excited to be having a sleepover!

Hailey, Jannah, Faith, Tessa, Paris and Aidan

These are Jannah's buddies, and this was the morning after! These girlies stayed up until almost midnihgt; it's not easy getting a group of girls to calm down and go to sleep...........but, oh the FUN they had!

Jamison & Green Beans!

Okay..............So, I don't think this is Jamison's favorite thing to eat..................What do you think?
