My Twinn Doll and Jannah

For Jannah's 5th Birthday, she received a My Twinn Doll from her Gamma and Gampa. Of all the things she has wanted, this doll holds the record for the most wanted, most asked for, and most admired through a magazine. About 2 years ago, Jannah saw a My Twinn Doll magazine for the first time; she was captured the very minute she opened it up. I can see why, every little girl dreams of having a look alike doll, with countless outfits and accessories. She has spent hours talking about her doll and what she will look like, and what she will wear. She was thrilled to finally receive her today. She was precious as you can see in the video below. I might add that my Mama made the matching dresses for Jannah and her Twinn. We gave her two other outfits and she can't wait to match her again tomorrow. Even now, they are sleeping together in Jannah's bed.....................Jannah's dream came true!
Jannah and her Twin Doll; this is one excited little girl :)

NO TRAINING WHEELS!!!

Jannah's friend Tessa gave her this bike-it's the perfect size for learning to ride with no training wheels; we were surprised when after just 5 helps from Daddy, Jannah learned to ride all by herself!!!! She is riding right behind our apartment, no cars are allowed on this path, and all of the children ride back here; this is also where the park is.

Jordan and His Buddies

This picture is too funny! This is Jordan and two of his favorite buddies, Preston & Steven. He gets so excited when he is around them and he also bumps his energy level up a notch or two! I think they get lost in the helments; they must be worn here on base to ride anything, and I guess they do protect those precious little heads! Jordan is on Steven's bike and Steven is on Jordan's bike........................boys, boys, boys!

Happy Memorial Day

We say THANK YOU to all of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country and THANKS to those who are currently serving!

Let's Swim

We have an incredible indoor pool here on the base. The kids really like it, and it is great family time! We went this past weekend, and we all had so much fun! Jannah is so close to swimming all by herself and Jordan has no fear of jumping in and going uner the water; he knows how to pull himself up by holding onto hour hands. They are two fishes in the water :)

This is one cutie pie with his lobster swimsuit on, he's ready for the pool!

Jamison in the pool-I think he liked it! This is his newset face; he's sucking on his lower lip

Jordan, Daddy and Jannah in the pool! Aren't the goggles cute?

Flower Market Fun!

This past Saturday, I ventured out to the flower market with a group of gals. I almost missed the outing because unlike any other day, all of the kids slept in until after 7:00; yes, that is considered sleeping in at my house! I woke up to see 7:14 on the clock, and we were meeting at 7:20. I'm not exactly sure how I made it, but I did feed Jamison, get dressed and RUN down the street so that I wouldn't miss the pull out time! So, I did have fun; it was nice to have a little girl time and it's always sooooooooooo exciting to go to the flower market. I chose these Gerber Daisies, I really thought the pinks and oranges were beautiful; I made a very simple arrangement, but they just pop! Oh, by the way, this arrangement cost all of $9! It's so inexpensive; it cost more in gas and tolls to get to the flower market than it did for this bunch of flowers!

A Stranger's Generosity

We ventured out to the Flying M (a steakhouse here on base) tonight. A big juicy hamburger sounded good to Greg and I, and we thought it was a good way to start a 4 day weekend! The restaurant is pretty small, and it seems like we always make a little more noise than we should. Nevertheless, we had a nice time and we all had hamburgers, except Jamison; he ate squash and bananas! I did notice a couple that sat diagonally from us. They were probably in their 50's (which sounds younger and younger as the years pass by); they looked at us several times, they were watching the kids. The lady especially liked Jamison, she had several smiles for him. As they left, we smiled at each other, and that was it. When our server brought the bill to us, she said, "your bill has been paid." We were a little awestruck, with smiles on our faces, which must have beckoned a little more explanation. She then said there was a couple that was dining there tonight, they were regular customers, and every time they are there, they pick one or two tables and pay for their meals! We did not know them, and they paid for our dinner - how generous! How nice to have been the recipient of this kind couple's generous heart. It made Greg and I want to do something for others; generosity breeds generosity. This actually reminds me of my Daddy; I can remember him buying meals for other's when we were eating out and not wanting to have any recognition for doing it. He is a very generous man; so when you read this Daddy, remeber that I love you and that your always a thought away!

Park Play

This is the playground at our new apartment. (Speaking of the new apartment, there will be pictures and maybe a video in a week or so; we're still getting settled). The kids really like the play area; at any given time of the day, there is always someone out here to play with! Just one week shy of turning 5 years old, Jannah has conquered what every child longs to do...............cross the monkey bars with no help! Although she doesn't show it in the video, she is very proud of herself :)

Bible Study

This morning I was reading my bible in the bed when Jordan woke up. He came into our room, climbed on our bed and asked me why I had my bible. I told him I was having some quiet time, a little bible study. Later this morning, I found him on the couch, looking at one of his devotional books. I asked him what he was doing, and he said, "I'm having a little bible study." How precious, and how great a reminder that our actions speak so loud. He sat like this for a few minutes, just looking at the devotional book. It may be hard to tell, but the book is upside down, that is just like my Jordan!

Corn, anyone?

Jamison's really a big boy now, he's eating corn! Not really, he helped himself to Jannah's pretend play food! It was so funny, and I'm sure he thought it was real, because he was chewing it intensely; maybe that's because he is teething. His first tooth has just cut through, on the bottom and the second one is soon to follow. His new tricks include bouncing while sitting down and eating small bits of banana off of our fingers..............he's a pro at that!
