Jannah's FIRST Day of Kindergarten!

Is it possible that my first-born child is in Kindergarten? Yes...it is! Jannah was more than ready and full of excitement to start today. As soon as she woke up, she said to me, "Mama, I don't have time to eat, because I have to get ready." I explained that indeed, she did have time to eat and the usual "breakfast is the most important meal..." comments that we moms make. We were running a little behind; we left in a whirlwind with breakfast stuff still out, beds unmade and lights on, but we had to be on time for the big first day! We along with many others made the short walk to school (one of the many things I love about being here). Daddy was off today, so it was a family outing to drop her off! It was raining, but we were still all smiles!
Jannah is wearing a precious outfit that Mama made her; I picked the fabric out months ago at Happy Quilt and mailed it to Mama, requesting an outfit be made out of it for the first day of Kindergarten. There were no tears shed today. Jannah is thrilled, which makes me very thrilled as well!

How brotherly that Jordan wanted to carry Jannah's backpack for her!

We are waiting for the elevator...which took a while because everyone was doing the same thing at the same time...trying to get to school!

Gabby, Jannah and Maria walking...in the rain!

Ms. Lauder (the teacher)

Steve and Jamison; their son Preston will be in Jannah's class

Jordan and Mr. Steve; they have a mutual admiration and love for each other!

That outfit is to die for on Jannah. Ask your mother if she could pass along the pattern number. Maybe Jane and Ruby need something similar?!

I am LOVING that adorable dress you made for Jannah. That fabric was always a favorite from Happy Quilt, and I am told that it is very popular here in the US!
