On the way home from soccer practice yesterday, Jannah picked a dandelion and made a wish. She told me she wished for a dog and cat. (I hate to be so negative...but, I'm not sure that will happen, her parents just aren't lovers of animals...sorry). She then found a dandelion for Jordan; surprise, surprise, he wished for a motorcycle! I found a dandelion, made my wish, and blew it. They both wanted to know what my wish was. I told them it was to live close to family when we leave here. Then I smiled and said I made another wish too. Jannah chimes in and says, "was it for Gamma and Gampa?" I told her it was. How does she know that I, a grown adult, miss my Mama and Daddy so much? She frantically searched for more dandelions, so that her and Jordan could wish for Grandma and Gamma & Gampa. I love those two kids. They bring such joy into every day.
Jordan got in trouble today...I know that's shocking. I let him bring a coloring book and 2 markers to school when we picked up Jannah. While we were waiting, he and his buddy Joshua were coloring. I even commented to Joshua's mom (Laurie) how cute they looked all hovered over the coloring book, and being little artists. A few minutes later, I look over and see pink and blue marks all over the table. I rush over and ask what happened. In unison, they told me it was an accident. I said, not true; that's way too much to be an accident. I told Jordan he would be disciplined and that there was a price to pay for coloring on the table and being dishonest. He looked at me and said, "Mama, I don't have any money." I just had to turn my head and laugh! I will say that the "price he had to pay" was not going over to Joshua's for a play date that myself and Laurie had just planned.
